About Our Recorder Lessons
Around third grade, kids are introduced to the Recorder. Some kids already have a recorder at home. The Recorder is a fairly simple instrument to play even for beginners. It is a good pre-curser for other woodwind instruments like Clarinet and Oboe. The instructors can teach in a number of styles; classical, contemporary, pop etc.
Students will learn the correct finger placement and posture, how to read music, music theory, proper breath control and timing, how to play basic melodies and songs. Students will gain an enthusiasm for music through a fun and relaxed environment while learning how to play the instrument.
Lesson Pricing
Lessons are weekly at the same time with the same teacher and are $40/half-hour offered in half-hour increments. Payments are made monthly based on the number of available lesson days in the month.
A One-Time $30 Family Registration Fee is due at the time of registration.
