About Our Drum Program

Drumset and percussion instruction is offered as a weekly 30 or 60 minute private lesson. We teach stick control techniques as well as body coordination to be able to play a single snare drum or a complete drum kit. We will teach you to play along to the beats of your favorite songs or help you improve your technique for your school band program. If you have a little one who bangs on pots and pans at home, this is the perfect outlet for them. Call or inquire today to get started.

Drums for Beginners

Beginning Drum students will love learning the names of the different drums as well as learning beginning rhythms and beats. They will learn proper sticking techniques and control while developing the coordination to play more advanced rhythms. Playing along with simple songs and playing musical games will get them playing like a pro in no time. Our teachers are very patient and love to help students master all the foundational aspects of technique, rhythm, theory, and reading music. The students at The Music Connection start playing from day one while learning critical foundations. All this while building learning skills and self-esteem.

Drums for Experienced Students

Whether students come to us from another teacher, or whether they started with us as beginners, we work with them to achieve their next goal. We help them to continue to grow with their instrument and become the drummer they want to be. Intermediate or advanced students learn to play more challenging music while starting to work with advanced techniques and concepts. Whether students want to learn a new style, prepare for an audition, or just have fun playing, we have the skills, experience and teachers to get them there.

Rock School: Once a student has had some experience under their belt playing their instrument, they are eligible to sign up for Rock School which is our Rock Band Program.

Learn the skills necessary to become a drummer that can play along in a band. Join our adult Rock School program and live your Rock and Roll fantasy. Learn all the techniques to take you to the next level. All while having a blast doing it. It can be very rewarding.
